About Nexus Pro A/V
Based in Portland, Oregon we build the BornDigital line of high quality audio and video workstations. Our parent company CTL has been building custom computers for over 20 years throwing the full weight of technical knowledge and support behind Nexus Pro A/V.
BornDigital product line overview
Cool, stable, silent, balanced and beautiful. These are the defining characteristics of the BornDigital line of custom A/V workstations.
Each workstation features a custom aluminum anodized case, robust dual 12v rail power supply, audio optimized Windows XP Pro OS, Intel high definition Dolby 7.1 audio motherboard, Texas Instruments firewire chipset, 120mm silent fans, Intel Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad processor, Samsung Super WriteMaster DVD/RW drive, dual monitor HDMI graphics card, multiple Seagate 7200.11 Barracuda hard drives and our custom 8 page system optimization methods.
We collaborated with respected studio engineers, musicians and audio software and interface makers to design a line of workstations that solved the common compatibility problems that plague many PC based systems.
From Texas Instruments firewire chipsets and custom BIOS to manual IRQ steering, no detail was too small in our quest to build the ultimate plug and play workstation.
Our hard drives are decoupled from the chassis with rubber grommets to reduce vibration and our 120mm fans are monitored and thermally controlled via the BIOS to maintain the best blend of cooling and quiet operation.
The external ESATA connection makes it very easy to record audio or back up your data to an external hard drive or array. Our motherboard is forward compatible with 64 bit OS and the newest generation of 45nm Intel processor make future upgrades easy and painless.

Our exclusive artists include Pat Wilson of Weezer, Helio Sequence, Pat Kearns of Blue Skies for Black Hearts and Jackpot Studios where bands and artists such as Elliott Smith, Quasi, Stephen Malkmus of Pavement, Sleater-Kinney, The Decemberists and The Shins have recorded great albums.
